Agreed!!! But personally I don’t think it’s such a tedious task as it seems. Don’t worry to much about the number of views and comments that you get. Eventually, you will know it by yourself how to promote and increase the traffic to your blog. I always tell people, if you want to be a winner- Then behave like one. This goes well for blogging too. First thing we have to be aware is to keep simple and neat. No fuss and complex contents. Just write about your daily routine, how you could have done something better.
General political views and current affairs will also be good. For beginners- just chill out, write what you want and have fun without offence. You may write about just anything from your puppy to your fish just to get used to writing without any apprehension. Generally, people tend to shy away to write a blog saying that they don’t know how to do it. We never know anything without trying and learning. So, there is no master at any given point of time. Just write it, People will eventually start following your blog and which will inturn motivate you to give better presentation in all the aspects.
The Content of the blog should be easily understandable and the opinions that you make should have strong facts. Though no one is going to chop off your head- your reputation is at stake. If you are involved in a certain field of interest and if you want to start a blog related to that, it would be wise and better to be aware of the information that you are passing on. Most often, it’s tough to get your point across and responsible. Try to be more informative, interesting and add points of facts when you are out to the world writing blogs.
Another point that you have to bear in mind is that an hour ago is a history. Here and the now is what people expect and that’s exactly what spice up the blog. Telling what they already know will be the first step of draining your audience. Try to stick to your schedule. If you are planning to publish every week keep up the schedule unless there is a vacation of some sort. Don’t have unrealistic expectations and fail to publish on time, which will make the followers go and find some other better blog or at least another blog. Search engine's are spitting out too many new blogs every second.
Being told more about writing a blog- it’s equally important to tell few words about how to take it to the audiences. You have written an amazing article with matter of fact content. What next??? The Title.....Your title is the one which attracts the interest. Use related keywords in the title which will also enable the search engine to show up your blog. Again going back to basics, keep the fonts and letters as simple as possible unless you are an expert in multimedia or other relevant technology. As I always mention nothing is better than a wrong thing. Keep your Title no longer than 10 t 12 words.
